Taco Meat

Yields1 Serving

 2 lbs minced protein (beef is traditional, but any ground meat or plant based protein works)
 1 to 2 tbsp Iron Skillet Taco Seasoning
 ¼ cup water
 1 to 2 tbsp tomato paste (optional, for soft tacos)
 1 to 2 tbsp lime juice (optional, for fajitas)

Crumble and brown your minced protein


Add Iron Skillet Taco Seasoning, water and optional additions (tomato paste or lime juice)


Stir and allow to reduce for 5 - 10 min until liquid is thickened and meat is mostly dry.


Serve on soft tacos with your choice of fillings. ie. lettuce, salsa, guacamole, grated cheese, green onions, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, greek yogurt, refried beans etc.
